Members please read these rules. They are not new they are the same ones that have been here for many years. The ones that seem to be the ones staff members have to deal with the most are highlighted in red. Please follow them it makes a more enjoyable time on the site for all. Membership is a privilege, NOT a right. As a private community, with screened and manually approved applications, the administration has total say as to which members are, and are not allowed access. As a standard operating procedure, we do not enter into correspondence, discussions or other communication, either public or private, about USCA policies, individual moderators, enforcement or application of the User Agreement, bans or other sanctions, etc. The U.S.C.A. is not responsible for any material posted on the U.S.C.A. message board. As a U.S.C.A. member you agree not to upload, transmit, distribute or otherwise publish on the U.S.C.A. Materials which are: Libelous, defamatory, obscene, abusive, pornographic, threatening, or an invasion of privacy; an infringement of the intellectual property rights, including, but not limited to, copyrights and trademarks, of any person or entity; illegal in any way or which advocates illegal activity. The U.S.C.A does not and cannot review or monitor every posting made on the message board, and is not responsible as such for the content of such postings. However, the U.S.C.A reserves the right at all times to disclose any information necessary in its sole discretion to satisfy any law, regulation or governmental request, or to edit, refuse to post or remove any information or materials, in whole or in part, that in the U.S.C.A.'s opinion are objectionable or in violation of these terms and conditions. COMMUNITY RULES BY THE NUMBERS: 1. AVATARS: The Avatar picture option was created to allow members to visually identify who they are talking to and create an atmosphere of friendship by sharing your personal image, "Your face". This option does create a more favorable environment for all and is strictly voluntary to participate in. NO pictures of your children, vehicles, your cat, your dog, or cartoons. The main element must visually show your face. 2. FORUM SIGNATURES: If you are not paying the USCA advertising fee(s) to promote a product or service, do not list a product or service as a link within your signature. Official USCA Sponsors may add a commercial signature encouraging members of the USCA to inspect your product or services. Members who support the USCA Star Program may link to their personal non-commercial website. Signatures must be no larger than 4 lines of text. Signatures which are too long, do not conform with the other rules regarding signatures, or which interfere with the display or readability of messages will be edited or removed. 3: PROFANITY: No vulgar language or profanity on the public viewable forums - Judgment Calls are made by Site Moderators in the context of that thread. Using special characters such as ^^&&**^* will be considered the same as profanity. For members who are 18+ and are OPTED into the High Intensity Forum strong language will be used by the members in this area. If this area of the USCA discomforts you, simply OPT-OUT to stop seeing these types of messages. 4: LINKS TO OTHER OUTDOOR FORUMS: Any links or posts on the USCA directing members or visitors to another catfishing related forum is prohibited. This includes Face Book Accounts, Twitter accounts, You Tube accounts or any other tool used for Social Networking. 5: COPYING ARTICLES OR INFORMATION FROM OTHER LOCATIONS: Do not do it. Copying and pasting copyrighted content creates a significant amount of overhead removing this material. Do not cite it, link to it, or refer it. Its typically link bait. In your own experience and words, convey the information. 6: YOU TUBE VIDEOS: Embed them within the forum. If you are sharing them on the community we are grateful. But, its not the USCA s purpose to be used to get you fans, views, or increase your presence on You Tube. If you do not know how to embed them, ask. If your video has a call to action within the video trying to direct members offsite, it is prohibited. 7: CLUB / TOURNAMENT START-UPS: Do not use the USCA to create a post(s) asking of people would be interested in starting clubs, tournaments, or other forms of organizations. We would be more than happy to create a reciprocal relationship with your organization after you have put your own time, energy, and expense into the ground work. We do have programs for existing catfish organizations that are bringing value to the membership from their own growth and hard work. 8: PUBLIC QUESTIONS: Public Posts made asking about the status of accounts that have had some form of administrative action is prohibited. 9: FUND RAISERS: Posts made to query the membership to raise funds are prohibited without permission. Permission is rarely given based on the size of the membership and the vast amount of situations that are constantly happening in real life across the country. 10: USCA BASHING: Bashing the USCA on other public social sites will result in loss of membership when seen or reported.
