The Jackson, MS, paper reported this morning that Game and Fish will change crappie fishing regulations on all four lakes (Arka., Sardis, Enid, Grenada) in 60 days to:

    All fish must be 12"
    20 fish limit
    Only three poles per person

Head of G&F said this move is "proactive" to help preserve crappie fishery.

    That is great news..

I wish they would put a size limit on crappie here in Indiana.

Wonder does this have anything to do with the amount of trolling taking place on these lakes?

I have been going over to Enid and Granada for a few years now and the number of crappie you can catch is just unreal. Here in Northeast Bama most of our crappie fishing is a winter event and hit or miss at best. Those lakes just amaze me. I hope this secures fishing on these lakes for my kids.
