I've heard that there is a conversion that would allow me to use musket caps on my Ruger 77/50 but I can't find them locally. Does anyone know anything about these and where I can order them? Thanks!

Never heard of it Billie but the model 77 is a sweet rifle. I buy alot of components thru Midway, they may carry what your looking for.

Thanks guys. I read about it on a gun blog and they said Cabelas sold them. I emailed Cabelas and they told me to check my local store. Two years ago they opened a Cabelas here, along with a Sportsmen's Warehouse, but they only lasted a year and closed down when the recession hit.

I haven't heard of a conversion for musket caps, but Bass Pro carriers one to convert to 209 primers.

I just talked to them online. Here is the conversation:

Josh: Hi, my name is Josh. How may I help you?
billie sutton: I'm looking for a conversion to shoot 209 primers in my Ruger 77/50 muzzle loader. Do you have them?
Josh: I am sorry but I am not showing a conversion for this in our inventory. If you are close to one of our stores you may want to check there.
    billie sutton: Thanks!
    You have disconnected.
