Out of these two types of livers what one works better.:confused2:
Bream. I don't mess with livers. If I did, rooster or hen would be NO different.
Bill in SC
Rooster liver is quite different from hen liver. Rooster liver is much larger, much darker in color, bloodier and way tougher than hen liver. It is hard to find in most places. We used to be able to buy it in bulk at a local grocery store but they stopped carrying it a few years ago. I have heard that it can still be bought down around Guntersville, AL.
BTW rooster liver works better than hen liver.
All the liver I buy just says chicken liver
If you can find it, rooster liver works better because it stays on your hook a lot better. The bait store here gets it from south Georgia.
i have no problem with hen liver
I think somebodys been blowin smoke up yalls arse,I see TURKEY livers all the time ,and chicken livers and rabbit livers. I have a hard time believing somebody would seperate chicken livers by the sex of the bird they butchered.
that was my thought 223,i never heard of a difference, let alone any one actually separating the two oooh:
there is a difference between the two. chiken liver comes off the hook a lot easier then rooster liver.
I use a little of each.
That way they can have thier choice! oooh::smile2:
Cheez, You are absolutely correct.
