Rod tip repair

    I just broke the tip off of a CatMax Pro (Cabela's) rod, and wuz wondering if there are repair kits available somewhere? Thanks for your help.

    Well, it just happens that I saw "tip" repair kits at my local Walmart this past weekend, so maybe yours will have them!:big_smile:

    Just ditch the hot melt glue and go for 5 minute epoxy.

    I also have to replace a tip but mine has to be removed first. Do I carefully cut the old one off ?..with a hacksaw ?

    Jim, get you a pair of needlenose pliers and heat the end of the rod tip (metal part) and pull it off. Mac

    LOL, I was trying to think of a way dissolve the glue but fire ( duh ) didn't enter my mind....Thanks Mac
