I put MadKatz but I also have Whisker seeker rods. Still got a few Ugly sticks but don't use them really anymore. They are more in back up role.

I have an ugly stick madkatz whisker seeker and TWC I’ve used all but the okuma on the poll.

they all have their place but my all around favorite if I could only have one rod is the TWC whisker whip. I swear I can feel what that fish is doing in the pitch black and I can see even a small bite when their being finicky I just love that rod wished I had more but don’t wanna spend the money haha - I will one day though!

B&M silver cat elites but I still love my old American Sprite nite stick pros. In fact I'm trying something I'd never done before, I ordered parts to up grade to metal seat and replace grips for my nite sticks. See if I can get other 15yrs out of them.

I use TWC Extreme rods and Rippin Lips rods and think they are both great. TWC is slightly stiffer but both have good tip action.

Rippin Lips sold a lot a few years ago because they were half the price of the others with free shipping and Amazon to back them up.

There are several good rods out which shows by the spread of votes.

I have most mentioned and others it comes down to personal preferences my favorite are Denali bottom feeder they look like the old ripping lips same eyes reel seat no knob on bottom handle around 60$ .For some reason I don't like to spend over a 100$ rod but have on problem spending 200 for a fathom I don't need

This is not in the poll but I recommend Meat Hunter rods. They are built in Arkansas and are built for big fish. They have a line that is suitable for channels also. Prices are quite reasonable for the quality.
They have a webpage and dealers around the country. He also has a webpage you can shop from but shipping on rods can get pricey. He also has a Facebook site. The only dealer I know is in Alma, Arkansas. I messaged the owner a while back asking for a list of dealers I can post on here and he promised me one when he put it together but I haven't heard from him yet.

Here is a link to the home page. Still no list of dealers that I can find. Interestingly, one of our active members, Big Sam, is featured at the heading of the page. You go, Sam!

Not bad I got the heavy action but it still has a reasonably soft tip. It would work well for suspending heavy weights and large baits. their designed for spoon bill fishing but I’ve used it catfishing I just set the clicker and wait for the run because it’s hard to detect a channel cat bite on such heavy action. All in all for $40 I’d buy it if I wanted a heavy action rod
