    Chris,
Here is a pictures of my rod holders. They are home made PVC holders. I found this idea from the BOC library and found these to work very well. rspd507

this is the setup i just did for my big boat last week and used it sunday.. its adjustable from putting the rod tips in the water or standing them up at 90degrees ... adjusts with 2 wing nuts in just a few seconds and is held to the boat with 4 1/2-20 stainless bolts on each side ITS NOT GOING ANYWERE!! also the top bar is removable by 2 little thumb knobs incase you need to use the back seats,,,,

the bad thing about just using a pipe is that if a 40# fish pulls the rod down good luck getting your rod out of the holder!!! even with a quick release type holder its hard to pull them out at times.... the rod holders i am using are only $50ish for 6 of them and they are strong!!!

Actually that is half true. As I mentioned in the text he asked me one day why I not made it adjustable for which I had no answer other than I had never really thought about it. Of course by the end of the next week it was!!!

I had mine built into the boat, same ones they use in the ocean. There are 3 on each side of the motor. They work real good and are out of the way. I hope this picture works out!

Where did you come up with the adjusters at? I would be interested in a set like that.
