I was wondering if someone could recommend a decent rod holder that I can stick in the bank(besides a tree branch LOL)

Use a steel pole about 3" & about 2ft long angle a cut at the bottom to go in the ground. No mess no fuss.. Good luck

    1. GET A 2INCH PVC PIPE
    2. CUT IT INTO A ONE FOOT SECTION
    3. USE TWO CLAMPS AND CLAMP A PIECE OF 1/2 INCH BY 2&1/2 FT REBAR ABOUT TWO INCHES FROM TOP
    4. INSERT REBAR IN GROUND
    5. INSERT ROD & FISH AWAY ILL TRY TO GET SOME PICTURES POSTED IF YOUR CONFUSED:0a26:LATER FISHIN BUDDIES

PVC pipe is the cheapest and my personal favorite. All you need is a saw and you are in business. Oh, and make sure you use a rubber mallet to pound them in the ground. If you don't things can get pretty ugly. LOL.
