rod holders for bank fishing

    ok i need a little bit of help on rod holders. i have a couple of cat rods with the long butt on them but i cant get them in my rod holders for bank fishing. any tips?

    pvc with a 45 cut at the bottom....a mini sledge and a small block of wood should do ya good..........and cheap

    thanks man i really want to go get some fishing done tonight but the closest lake with big cats dont allow night fishing from a boat:sad2:

    What schdule of pipe do you use, and diameter?

    I use a piece of rebar and a piece of pvc and gorilla duct tape. Just tape the pvc to the rebar. They work great and slip nicely into your folding chair bag. Good luck.

    I would try PVC, duct tape, and rebar.

    schedule 40 2.5 diameter will work for any rod out there. get a 10ft piece and cut it in half then run a 1/4x 3 in bolt through it about a foot down that way when you sink it in the ground a foot its pretty hard for it to get pulled in.
