What river seems to have the better catfishing?
Well if your fishing for blues the tenn river is number 1 in my book and if your looking for flatheads the coosa river would be my choice....
Well some times in the Tensaw River,if you want to catch nice muds.
We do a lot of trotlinine in the tensas river. Was out this evening fishing with some shiners and caught a 16lb blue cat. We launch from the state landing in Mt.Vernon. The fish are bitting pretty good lately.
Some nice places south of Shreveport on the Red River. We go a couple times a year and stay in cabins and fish juglines for Blues and Ops.
I am in no way being disrespectful, but I my honest opinion, the best river for catfishing is----the one you are fishing!!!!!!!!!!!
Even the worse day of catfishing is better than anything else in the world!!!! Well, with one exception,
Lived in Shreveport from '79 to '87. Never fished on the Red River. Rode a dirt bike up and down the rivers sandbars. During a dry spell.
Tenn River for them big blues for sure.
