I dont know of any acess places to the river in broken arrow but I hear theres a good fishin spot nearby in owasso. it is a pond off of 76th. Take 169 all the way to owasso and exit west onto 76th street and take that about a mile and turn left on 122nd and the pond is at the first 3 way stop to the right. heard theres many catfish in there.

If you live in BA, head East on Kenosha. Follow it all the way to the end and you'll be at the lock and dam on the Navigation Channel. It's called Bluegill Point.

If you need a place to launch a boat, then turn left at the sign that says "Bluff Landing". It's about a mile before you get to Bluegill Point.

You can fish off the bank in both areas.

Go west into Tulsa until you get to Memorial Drive. South on Memorial to the Arkansas River bridge (just past E. 141st Street). I have never been down there to check out access to the river but I have seen people down there fishing occasionally, so I know that you can get in somewhere around there. There's a sand dredging company that uses the north bank east of the bridge, so doubtful you can get in there but you could have a look around at the other three corners of the bridge.

Also, if you keep following Memorial out through Bixby you'll get to a tiny little town called Leonard 5 miles past the eastward curve. There's a little convenience store/bait shop in Leonard. Stop in there and ask about places to get to the river. The folks that run the place have always been real nice & helpful when I've been in there.

You should be within about 35 miles of the Ft. Gibson Dam if you head east on the Muskogee Turnpike.

Well...i finally found a place. Been catching a good mess of fish ranging from 5-15lb. Even a 13 lb flatty, which i have never had a fish hit as hard as he did lol. Pretty nice being 4 miles away:)

Hello, Im new here and new to catfish fishing in general. I was wondering which area you found decent. I have been trying a place in Catoosa without much luck lately (but its been HOT!).

I think that I might try down 71st and see if I have much luck there. Did you ever find a place by the school?

Thanks for the info everyone.

Dustin

Well, I scouted the location thats far East on 71st tonight and Im guessing thats not where your fishing. It narrows down to a one lane road that doubles as a shotgun target practice area / trash dump. Not the kind of place I would want to be after dark. The boat ramp area that is a mile away from there is closed from July 6 - 30th for repairs. Be warned, there is an entry and an exit. The entry is closed and the exit has tire spikes so dont think about entering (which I see someone doing if its after dark).

I went down to the river and noticed baseball games were going on and the gates were open. I fished behind field 12 with some DK for a few hours but only caught a couple of babys. It was nice just to wet my line.
