river fishin in Bonner

    I'm just wandering if anyone ever river fishes the Bonner Springs Edwardsville area. Lookin for some info on where the big ones are and what they hit on? Thanx

    I'd try the mouth of stranger creek with cut skipjack if you're lookin for blues.

    Stranger Creek, Cedar Creek of 83 street, Desoto Ramp, Edwardsville Ramp.

    welcome to the BOC countryboy If i was you i wouldn't even mess with it.The best fishin is up river from there but unless you have a mud motor it is a drag (literally) to get anywhere past k-7 and good bank fishin spots are hard to find along that section. I would try the lower kaw downriver of 435. You would have alot better chance of getting something decent. I use skipjack,shad,and cut gills for bait all work well. Good luck when you get 10 posts shot me a pm and we will get together and i will show you some spots

    caught a 15 pound cat 3 weeks ago at the edwardsville ramp but stranger hasnt produced much this year fixin to get a boat for the river gonna try that but dont know where to go yet

    I agree 435 down stream!! We had 2-5# & 3-10# channel cats Friday night in about 2 hours.

    The 83 st. is just a little west of Cedar Creek and North of 83. There is only a entrance sign in one direction on 83 st.

    wow i would have never have guessed that part would have fish/bait worthwhile!!

    bythe way gamblen, ill give you a call monday, we can work on that motor if not sunday! been a rough week.

    Went out tonight & caught 2 channels A 5 & 6 lb. 1-flathead 4 lbs. Down river of 435.
