Does anyone know when this project is supposed to materialize? I am very apprehensive as to how it is going to affect our fishin' up river from it. Reason I am apprehensive is because I occasionally fish the river above the Blewett Falls dam in NC. I know there must be fish there, but I never seem to have any luck there. Bill in SC
There are no plans for a dam just a coal fired steam plant. I wish they would build us a lake righ here at the house. I have fished several times in the river right below Blewetts and have cught some nice blues and a few smaller flatheads. Hard area to fish cause of the rocks and rising and falling water. Sme of the NC boys fish it and do pretty well. You need a jet drive boat up there.
Yes, the fishin' is pretty good below the dam, and yes, the rocks are treacherous. Boy, I have been hearing for a long time about a dam near Pamplico. I'm kinda glad to hear from you that this is not the case. Thanks! BB in SC
