Anyone having any luck on blues lately? I've been fishing my tried and true summer time spots and can't buy a bite. Are they spawning now and I'm just hitting the spots a little too early maybe?

I fished the Trinity about a week or so ago and they were biting like crazy.

Blue spawn should be long over by now. We are just now starting to catch a few blues at Tawakoni right now. Should get better as it gets later in the year.

Oh well, maybe it's just a little early for this spot. It's usually really good in July and August.

Tried the guadalupe river about three weeks ago. The best bite was on cut carp. Lake granger has a fair bite going on for blue cats down by the dam. Find the hump out from the dam and set you some jug lines out or rod and reel fish with cut carp, perch, or shad. Don't leave your jugs or you will lose them. Catfishjon
