what bait for the river
It depends on which species of fish you are targeting. Try Shad (live or cut), Skipjack (cut up or Heads) and live bluegill is good for flatheads. This should get you started. You might want to check with your local bait shop for more info. Thanks:lol:
Welcome to the BOC Aaron.
What rivers are ya fishing?
Chicken livers work, cut sucker, sucker minnows nightcrawlers.
im fishing the rock river
Don't know if it's the same Rock River, but I saw an In-Fisherman show where they were using live bream, going after flatheads.
Use what's natural in the lake you're fishing. Be sure to check your local regulations to see what you are allowed to use for bait. If you have questions, be sure to ask on these boards... you might also contact your local baitshop owner.
Welcome to the BOC, Aaron.
Try some chicken livers, shrimp, nightcrawlers, white bread, shiners, bluegills, chubs, suckers(live or cut). All work pretty good.
