Friday, went fishing at a spot I have to tow my kayak on its cart about a 1/2 mile. I tried at least a half dozen spots with my castnet, but had little luck getting bait. Normally, I fish a couple of places where I can do well with the net on shad at one, and bluegill at the other. I'm pretty sure that shad won't do well in the fridge overnite, but how about bluegill? Keeping them alive is not really an option if I fish out of the area I hike into.
