REEL FOR "CABELAS KINGKAT PRO" rod

    need to find a reel for a king kat pro rod, it is quite large lol any suggestions welcome

    is that the reel that is black, with the line counter on it, around 30-40 bucks? if so i was kinda looking at that reel

    Jeff, I just put a cabelas salt striker ss65 on a glowstick. I highly recomend it. It's made by Okuma and is the same model as their EF65 epixor. Smooth reel and lots of capacity.

    Hey Jeff,
    If you like spinning reels, I,ll go with a "Shimano Baitrunner or a Tidewater Freeliner" - They are some good spinning reels. :big_smile:

    I agree shimano or tidewater spinning reels are good if u like spinning reels.

    if u like baitcasters I would say go with a abu 6000, 6500, or if u r fishing for big flatheads and blues go with the abu 7000 if u have the money.
