New to the site and have learned alot already thanks
I have fished for catfish alittle but never to this level.
I got a new rod and reel today (Uglystick Tiger lite and Okuma 302L) wanted to use vintage Penn rod and reel, I like the old stuff, but shipping on ebay will kill you. Ifound the site through a friend and between us talking and looking at this site I am ready to go.
    Thanks

Welcome to the BOC Steve. You'll learn a lot and have access to the latest lake/river info when the fish start biting again. After you have made enough post (10 I think) you will be able to "Instant Message" other members. Have you ever used a cast net? We're having Hush Puppies tonight Tom.

Just poke around the site for now, when things warm up a little you will
see a lot more folks posting in the Kansas Forum. Right now it's mostly
the regulars on line with some folks checkin' in from time to time. Our
next get together is the lead pour in February. Check out the thread
and make some time to come hang with us. It would be worth a few
sinkers to ya, bring some lead to pitch in the pot and enjoy meeting
folks. We cast a lot of useful shapes you might not find in the store
and some large enough for a small boat anchor.

Welcome Steve. It is nice to see another westerner around here. Lots of good info and some of the greatest people you will ever meet. Even them eastern city boys have a pretty good tip or two to offer. When Milford thaws I am there a lot. Almost every weekend. I almost always have room for one more to fish, so don't be afraid to ask. Most of these guys are the same, if you ask they will get you somewhere and on some fish, or have a dang good time trying.
