Really Cold

    got this picture of Niagara Falls in 1911.This has happened only one time they say.I thought this was a neat picture.

    That had to be extremely cold to freeze the flowing water of Niagara Falls! Neat pic and thanks for posting it. Pretty neat!

    ....Here in the UK was the winter of 1962-63. Although the weather may not be as extreme as New York/Canada, it was still unusual for people to walk across the River Thames on a February morning (see attachment).

    Also, as proof of global warming, London used to hold "Frost Fairs" on the Thames from the 1600's to 1814. In the 1600's, the river froze solid for 2 months, but only four DAYS in 1814 when the last one was held.

    those are some neat pics. im in illinois right now for the holidays and the other day we had an ice storm and the ground became a giant skating rink. well, i was walkin down to my grannys house to say hello and she lives on a hill with a sort of sideways slope. everytime i hit a driveway i couldnt walk across is it cause it was so slick. you should have seen me down on my butt scootin like a dog.:smile2:
