I got 2 wally marshall pro series 10' crappie rods for christmas to add to my spider rigging. Then making my annual stop at Cabelas from the familys after christmas. I was forced to buy 3 more fish eagle reels for the new rods. I guess I need to buy another rod for the spare reel.

Those rods should do pretty good. I'm just gonna buy a couple of crappie hunter combos made from shakespeare. One for jiggin, one for live bait.

Started the year off right, decided to go spyder rigging for crappies and see what these 2 new rods do with my other 4. Caught 2 crappie , 2 white perch, 4 blues, 5 stripers. Cats 3 -6 lbs, decent crappie and white perch, stripers 23 - 25 inches. We won't discuss the mess when you hook a striper spyder riggin. It was a great time and a break from cat fishin.
