I just moved to Toronto (right on the OH river) and am trying to find some decent cat spots. Problem is, I don't know how to read a river like this talk looks so featureless. I used to live in Circleville and Kansas City. Reading the Scioto was much different...the runs holes and riffles were pretty easy to spot as were most of the snags I fished. In KC fishing the Missouri was not terribly difficult because of the large number of wing dams, current breaks, etc to fish. But now I'm on the Ohio and except for the dam up @ Straton, it all looks the same. I am limited for now from shore fishing, so my question is...what do I look for to find good habitat? Thanks,

    Eric

If u live close to Wheeling, West Virginia try fishing over by the big bridges. Also try around barges anywhere on the river. Hope that helps.
