Judy and I took off for the rediversion Monday night. The bite for us was very slow for sure. Mostly caught some small channels and had the gars steal our bait. Finally around midnight one of the rods took off and Judy grabbed it and the fight was on. Once the blue had enough we were able to get the net around him and weighed it out at 28lbs even. We had fresh Herring, Perch fillets, Perch heads, and Bream fillet. The Blue wanted the Bream fillet.

The best part of the trip was that we have been trying to get Judy a decent Cat to post a pic with, although this was not bigger than her PB, was definately a quality fish worth posting. Way to go BABE!!

I know that this might seem like a silly question...but I keep hearing about the "Re-Diversion" canal. I know the Diversion Canal at Santee, is there another canal or are the two one in the same?

Or is this the tailrace off of Moultrie?

    Thanks!

The "Re-Diversion" comes off of Lake Moultrie and dumps into Santee River. It is located at Russellville by lake, or you can cross it by road in several spots at Saint Stephens. There is no access by boat until you get below the railroad tressle. This is an area where we do our bank fishing.
