Sorry, I'm not an artist. I was a painter once in my life but a differant kind. So, no pictures to figure out. How about some rules for ya.

Well, well, well, here we go off into the wild blue yonder with Ramblings Vol. 23, hosted by the one and only sscharlie. As OPJ is prone to say, let it rip.

The fine folks on Lake Norman invites everyone to join us in the latest adventures of the longest running thread on the USCA. There is a secret to why this thread has enjoyed it's longevity and you can find out what it is by visiting us on a regular basis. But I will forewarn you, it is addictive.

It's cast of characters is highly similar to the soap operas on TV that your mother and grandmothers have watched over the years. Some characters move on to other venues, some expire, some age on the Ramblers like fine wine, good news and bad news follows us just like in real life, some will get right in your face if you say something they don't like and will turn around and give you the shirt off their back. Sounds like a family gathering or reunion, don't it.

A 12 year old boy apparently of questionable character steels a car the other day. Gets involved in a high speed chase with the man. Kid looses control of the car flips it and is killed. Now there is an outrage against the cop. They want his head. I say tough freekin you know what. The boy made a decision and suffered the consequences of such. Thats my take on it. Whats yours?

Hittin the river today with Mike (Brownie) and #2 son Paul. Tides are on my side and its gonna be a nice day before the storms start tommorow.

My trip with Tim the tackle man Hagan looks like a go for this comein tuesday. Hes comein up on monday,we are gonna char some animal flesh on the grill,shoot the bull and tell fishin lies for a bit and then hit the river at "0" dark thirty on tuesday. I'm pumpmed for sure.

Went to WalMart with the Mrs. last nite. Just strengthens my take on the human race. "IT SUCKS" LOL! I can say that cause I ain't human. LOL!

Time to head to WAWA for my traditional bag of ice,diet pepsi and bag of pretzels. LOL! Look out kitties here we come. LOL!

Took a shower, think I'm awake now. Got swimmers ear, happens when I go to sleep standing up in the shower. You'll have to talk into my left ear, I'm not a LIB; sorry for the inconvenience. Now Joey, I's up late ,bout 8:30, think'n bout the motor. We use to pole up the river and drift back. Never made too long a run. The first motor had a tube around the motor, like a hula hoop, no tiller. Boat control was minimal but it beat pole'n. The coal fired one,s were real dangerous!!! They'd blow up and kill people. Now your wonder'n what this has to do with your sit-u -ation? Not much. just look'n on the bright side. YOU MADE IT BACK ALIVE!!!!:biggrin:

Morning Ramblers and I have a cat laying by my feet licking my toes. Bet Boots is jelous ...LOL Hope she finds something their that I missed. What a rough tongue.
Now one of the butt sniffers moved in and took her place. Competition or is it the food chain thingy.

Got one cup of mud down and ready for another right away.

Looks like we're off to a civil start this AM, it will get ugly somewhere and time...LOL

A cool gray morning with rain today.
I forgot to talk about my fishing venture last night. As soon as I got there I had just gotten both poles out and the first rod took a swing, went to grab it and the second one takes a swing. Missed the first on, grabbed the second and as some might say, "no cigar"
Third bit was a hook-up but small __lb'er. Was a quick one bite and gone going on but I did manage to get one more __lb'er. Decided to let em both go. no pic, you wouldn't be interested anyway. I just didn't want to clean 2 small ones. Now, if they were in the 3-4 lb range then that would have been dinner. I just couldn't bring myself to cook up thise two little one and eat them while the wife watched...LOL SHe has to eat too.

It's time to take my S,S,Shower.

Morning all,I had the misfortune to watch part of that strange movie " AVITAR" I wasn't impressed,I actually thought it was ridiculous I ain't much into the fantasy and futuristic bull crap. I cant figure out why everyone thinks it all that" . Any way its 46* here and we are heading to 67* for a high,we got a cool front blowing through today ,it will be windy this morning 25-35, but it will die to 10-15 by late evenin. Yall have a goodun.

Good morning from the belly button of the midwest. Going back to the city today for a going away party for a good friend. He is going to Afganastan for a job. I don't like it but I'm not the one trying to support his family.

Went fishing yesterday. Nuff said about that.

Who is planning on going to the gathering in Sept. ? I'm in.

This morning while taking the garbag out to the road, it started raining like hell and then got bopped on the head with hail. Just little ones but still had a sting to it.

Hello Volume 23. I'm a little concerned about the leadership but believe that the Tuna~~~~ will take us in a direction.... Notice I didn't say what direction we are headed... Some of the elderly folks might have to stay current with their vitamins to keep up...

Keith---- I'll get it fixed.. I might not do it right away, but she (floatin' badges) will once again be out there controlling the catfish population. I can always use my neighbors boat while she's undergoing surgery, and it gives me a good excuse to head to the coast for a weekend of surf fishing...

Darn fly. He's circling me like I'm already dead. That rotten teenage boy must have let him in. Guess he's trying to pay me back for sending him out to cut the grass.

No school today. Grass needed cutting and my daughter had to be gone, so we took a day off.

Speaking of school, my youngest nephew is graduating from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville. Hope he doesn't have to swim across the stage to get his diploma. My neice graduates from high school next week.

Guess I better try to get some work done around this joint. Y'all have a good one!
