It is that time of the year and when it gets like this on the river, I pull over to the bank and wait for as long as it takes.

We have them here. Occasionally a rabid one will turn up in a yard during summertime. Years ago, I ran a trapline and G&F had them closed season and protected. This baffled me as they are invasive species. It's like protecting nutria.:smile1:

I'm sitting in the parking lot, in the rain, while my bride sees the doctor. I can't come in due to CoVid.
Turns out she has developed an uncommon blood disorder that causes too much iron in the blood. Symptoms are very similar to anemia. Just like her to come up with something no one ever heard of. :smile1:

Good to see most still doing ok.

Wow Neill, most ladies have a shortage of iron.

We just use the squirt gun on our cat. We just see the hind end then.

Hauled a couple short hops. Kinda slow. Guess will go catch bait this eve.

Keith, I am blown away that you looked it up. Jeannie says thanks for caring.

Bill, Yeah, it seemed odd to me too but as Keith's link shows it's a thing.

Treatment is they draw a pint of blood every three weeks until the numbers are right. Doc says she'll likely have to do this off and on for the rest of her days. I just hope it perks her up, I hate to see her feeling poorly.
On top of this, daughter child is done with her first round of 5 radiation treatments, due home tomorrow.
My Doc told me my heart rate was way too low and took me off of the beta blockers. Withdrawel from them is making me feel crummy. Hopefully I'll perk up soon.

I found a hole in my creek with nice 6-7" chubs. I placed a minnow trap in it last evening intending to harvest this AM. Well we got in a hurry to get Jeannie to the doc and left it. While we were gone a huge rainstorm came and flooded the creek. By the time I got back to it all I had was an empty string out in the water. Trap is somewhere way down the creek by now. Oh well!

Home from vork. I’d not be in the best of shape. Will get a doc app soon. Drain valve issues again. Had to bypass this morn with a cath. Valve is back to working but shut half off. See what doc ses when I see them.

Finally found some time to give Art's his thank you present from me, he was blown away !! DSCF0224.JPG

Also, for the first time since I got out of the hospital I slept for six straight hours this past night. !!! Things are looking up.

One of our neighbors brought over some cup cakes for us this past afternoon, mighty kind of them.

Weather today highly similar to yesterdays. Such as high of 85, overnite low of 69. Tad of wind and the humidity is up thar at 96%

For those driving today, try to keep it between the ditches and for those dat aren't, keep on being anti-social, you hear.

    Neil,
My sister in-law has something similar. She dosent make enough blood though. Her fingers will start turning black when her iron gets to high. She has to get a pint of blood put in about every 3 weeks.

I think gradually, everyone is coming to realize. There is nothing that can be done about the Covid - 19. Other than complete self isolation. It will work its way thru the whole world.

The doctor on this youtube pod cast wrote about the next great flu pandemic in 2017. Nailed it. Very informative discussion. Keep in mind it was done in march.

This changing weather can wreck havoc on your breathing if you have any conditions, like COPD.

Was that before they made bud light??? LOL

As Cheap will tell you, I have always said I go two right before I go left on a snell. Only two ways to get that knot off a hook. Cut it or burn it. LOL
