When is covid over you ask?? For some, NEVER!!!!!!

COVID brain finding could affect millions in U.S.
So true, same thing happened to people that had the flu of 1918, they had brain disorders later in life. My Mother, bless her heart, had Parkison and the folks at NC Baptist Hospital traced it back to the flu of 1918. She lived twenty-seven years with dat disease. Started in her 50/s.

I got caught up in a horrible flue while in the Navy. We had just finished our rotation in Malta and within weeks, the whole barracks had the flu.

1957-1958 Pandemic (H2N2 virus)

map of asia

"In February 1957, a new influenza A (H2N2) virus emerged in East Asia, triggering a pandemic (“Asian Flu”). This H2N2 virus was comprised of three different genes from an H2N2 virus that originated from an avian influenza A virus, including the H2 hemagglutinin and the N2 neuraminidase genes. It was first reported in Singapore in February 1957, Hong Kong in April 1957, and in coastal cities in the United States in summer 1957. The estimated number of deaths was 1.1 million worldwide and 116,000 in the United States."

We were only admitted to sick bay if we had a temp of over 103 degrees. A corpsman came thru the barracks checking us and found me on my bunk with two wool blankets on me shaking like a leaf in a March wind. He wrapped me up with my blankets and escorted me to the hospital. Had me to lay in a tub with iice and water and gave me an APC and I laid thar until my temp came down a tad. : Bunk time with plenty of fluids and more APC's, next morning I was below the admitting temp and I was given green scrubs to put on and given a mop, broom and pan to clean up after the bed ridden ones. Puke and mop, dat's what I did, dat will get you begging them to let you go back to the barracks...

I woke at 4 this morning. Tried for 30 minutes to go back to sleep. I went to Sardis and fished the spillway area with artificial baits, bait shop doesn't open until 7 on weekdays. At 9:20 I gathered my stuff and came home. Everything was good except that walk back up the steps. Caught a lot of what I didn't want. No one there close until daybreak and some they didn't want.
Nap time.
