We got 5 inches last night. Suppose to be slow and steady all day today. I have to go to Fort Riley and play army this weekend. What a muddy mess that will be.

get your rain suits on and go catch a passel of channel cats where water flows in to any small lake.I'm going tommorrow and I'm hoping for a Noah's Ark like flood. Last year I broke my pb for channel cat {24.6lbs.} twice in one day in a muddy creek in 3ft of water in a torrential downpour.I had to drive an extra hour each way cuz the Marais des Cygne was flooded but it was worth it.Nightcrawlers or turkey liver on a bobber will git 'er done.

The streets in Wichita are floodin pretty bad. Mine is tame compared to others. I think we are close to 11" of rain today. Cars are stalled Everyehere.
Im stuck inside until it goes down a little. I hope thats soon. I need to get bait!!

Yeah, the Kaw will be all different after this high water goes through. Took
a look by the K-18 bridge outside of Ogden and you wouldn't want to be
in swimmin' for sure. Haven't seen it this high since 1993! Where I generally
set up is about three feet under water right now. Bet that big old ball of
roots half sunk in the bank has floated off to Lawrence by now.

If I can get enough bait I will be there. The bite is on too!
I just got back from gettin soaked. Caught 4, all flatheads, plus I lost one at the bank. 2 over 10 lbs and the one I lost was around 10. I would have stayed longer but I was SOAKED!!!
I bet the Ol Walnut is lookin DANGEROUS!:cool2::smile2:

We've not had as much as some of you folks(Kyle), my gauge is sitting on a little over 3.25". As for bait, just go down to the boat ramp, you can't hardly pull your net in. 3+" shad, all you want. Last two day's we shore fished, hopefully tomorrow we can take the Catoon out, when Curtiss Creek is running, you almost don't need bait, just throw a hook out:smile2:
