Railroad Spikes?

    So along the river where I fish, the railroad tracks run right by the river. I've found a lot of railroad spikes and am thinking about using them weights for my bank lines. Anybody done this?

    Sure have for limb lines and jugs I used to use old nuts and bolts and all kinds of junk..

    Why not? It'll save me a bunch of money on weights! :smile2:

    May want to be careful, the rail road may thiink you are stealing from them.

    Interesting point. Thanks for the input!

    The spikes are all rusted out and sitting along the tracks like they were just thrown over there when repairs were done. If the railroad goes and checks my banklines, we're going to have some other issues than what my weights are! I don't like other people checkin my lines :wink: .
