    Rabbit Supreme

    2 [2lb. each] ready to cook wild rabbits
    Or 1 [4-5 lb] domestic rabbit

    All purpose flour
    1/4 C salad oil
    2 T butter or Margerine
    1 C chopped onions
    2 cloves garlic,minced
    2 t salt
    1/4 t pepper
    1 C milk
    1 C sour cream


    About 2 hrs before serving. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    Coat rabbit pieces with flour. In an oven proof skillet over med-high heat,cook rabbit in hot oil and butter or margerine until browned on all sides. Remove pieces to a platter as they are browned.

    In drippings,cook onion and garlic until tender[med heat] about 5 min.
    stir in 1 tbs flour,salt,and pepper till blended,gradually stir in milk stirring constantly till mixture thickens.Returnrabbit pieces to skillet,spoon sauce over pieces. Cover and bakee for 1 hour or until fork tender. Remove rabbit pieces to a warm platter. Stir sour cream into gravy,heat stirring constantly[do not boil]. Serve gravy over rabbit. Makes 8 servings.


    My daughter found this on a recipe google for rabbit,We tried it ,and its darn good. Hope you like it too.:wink:

    Even though I do not eat easter bunnies! LOL ROFL LOL
    If I had to I would use this recipe. Never know years back i was a veggie person. Now I love a good deer steak anyday!
