I have not seen anyone mention rabbit livers as bait. Has anyone tried it?
I raise rabbits so getting all I want is not real hard. I just freeze it throughout the year and come catfishing time I could thaw it and use it.

Ayone tried it and how effective was it?

I have used rabbit liver in the past. The best way to do this is to take sewing thread with you and rap it around the liver. You will need a knife to remove this after every rebaiting. If something has blood in it those channels will probably eat it. I had about the same sucess as chicken liver.

I would say rabbit liver will work fine. I also use deer liver and it works well. I've heard squirrel livers work well too. Never tried them though.
