I have been netting shad from an irrigation pond near my home. The pond is fed (pumped) from the river that I'm fishing. The problem is that the fish do not seem to want to eat these shad much. I know it sounds kinda crazy, but it seems that even the gar don't hold on to them very long. Is it possible that there is something with this pond? Or is it possible ( coincidece ) that the fish just aren't on when I've been trying them latley. I was getting shad from another loaction earlier in the summer and did OK.

Anybody come accross anything like this?

If the bait fish you are using from the pond are not in the water you are fishing in, this might cause some shyness. Kinda strange though.
