    I dont do alot of anchor fishing here... but back home in tn what I did was used the drift rods for both.... Take a small clamp on shot set it about 1.5 feet above the swivel remove the drift weight then use a river weight on a snap swivel clip onto the line between then drift swivel and the snap shot, the fish now can run with it about a foot and a half before dragging the weight, by then they have the bait in there mouth....... Hope this helps ya out some and also back home I always used a cork on my line to keep the bait off the bottom less snags and the cats can find your bait better....:wink:
