Does any one know of A place on Lake Badin where you can camp? Thanks for any Info.
You can primative camp upriver on the right above the trestle or in Fred's swimming hole, directly behind there over the RR tracks. Skiers cove has a big campsite where Buffalo creek comes in. The Islands have been camped before but I believe they can write you a ticket for staying there. There are three campgrounds w/facilities out there, whip-r-will up near Lakemont and the twin UNF sites near Machine Branch. Have fun.
I have camped on the Badin islands several times with no problems. but I am not 100% it is legal.
Forest Service campground Arrowhead is pretty nice. search for Arrowhead Campground or look on reserve America.
