Ok, I have had Direct TV for about 7 years now and love it and have had XM Radio in my car now for 2years and also love it and highly recommend both for anyone who is looking into it.
Ok, my question is .....Why is it when it pours down rain, I loose my Direct TV for a few minutes ( I understand why) but yet when im driving through a cats and dog like storm, my XM radio never goes out??? Is there a difference in the radio vs video wave lengths that cause that?

Just curious why the antenea for XM is 1.5 " square and works fine vs the dish
