I just purchased a 91 Isuzu Trooper in mint condition. I have a question about it. There are 2 buttons near the shifter on the console that are ...Power and winter. Does anyone know what these are? Any help is appreciated. Thanks:big_smile:

I used to have a 95 Isuzu Rodeo that had the same thing. They just make the motor shift at different times. If I remember right winter shifts kind of quick and power winds it out a little longer. I still have a Chiltons manual at the house, I'll check it when I get home and see what it says.

The winter button starts you out in 2nd gear instead of first so you don't spin tires when taking off on snow and ice. The power button holds it in each gear a little longer before it shifts. Help on hills, towing, and passing.
