I just bought a pair of these M/H rods. Anybody tried them? They appear to have plenty of backbone when under a load. I'm going to test them in the Ocean tomorrow.

Yep, I have 2 of them. One is more of a boat rod though. I like them so far have not caught anything over 35 with them so far.

I have four, and really like them. The larger grip on the forward end helps me get them out of the holders when they are bent over with fish on. Like Crazy said, I haven't tested them on really large fish yet, but I have no doubt they will hold up.

    Great rods for the price.

Well I can tell you they will get the job done. We went out 9 miles on the Pacific Ocean to find out if these rods can take a load. The largest fish caught weighed 90lbs. A 35min. battle, some serious give and take, the rods both performed well. Put them on what ever you want, they did just fine!

    Thanks Don,

I'd say you put them to the test. Great job. Now if I can get one half that size to test mine, I'll be happy.
