I have a Medium/Heavy Quantum Torsion rod, and it works great with channel cats and small blues/flatheads. It is a 6'6" rod that is designed for 10-20 pound line, and 1/4 to 1 oz. rigs. I have my SKP2000S reel on it, and it works like a charm for the channels. It can actually cast up to and over 4 ounces without too much of a problem. Its an excellent rod for smaller cats, so if you are fishing for eaters, this is one that you might want to look at. They can be found at wal mart.
