I got 9 mater plants in the ground and 3 japalinos. Thats it!!! It's been such a late, wet, cold spring. I did till the garden yesterday (stirred the mud) and hopefully the 20mph wind that kept me from huntin today will dry it out so i can plant some more stuff.
Richard, ya gotta tell us that secret on stuffin them peppers too.

I bought 2 flats of tomato's and peppers yesterday. 10.49 a flat, not a bad price the way things are going.

I sound like a rookie up against some of you guys! I've only got 8 tomato plants; 3 Better Boy, 1 Celebrity, 1 JS2000, 1 Roma, 1 Beefsteak, & 1 Grape tomato. I've got 4 pepper plants; 1 green bell, 1 yellow bell, 1 jalapeno & 1 banana. Then I've got 2 small hills each of yellow squash & cantalope.
And....we're getting a good ole thundershower right now; not a hard "frog strangler", just a good rain.
You guys be sure to post pictures as your gardens start making, okay?

I finally got my mater plants in the ground.
I have 2 sweet 100's and 2 patio mater plants, 2 beefsteak mater plants and 2 husky cherry mater plants now.
I always put Marigold plants around my mater plants to keep the Spider Mites and mater worms away from my maters. It really does work.

Boy, did I lie!! It rained, & it rained, & IT RAINED SOME MORE!!! I don't know when we've had so much rain in such a short time!!! But, I got home from work, checked out my flower bed & tomato bed, & everything looks fine so far. I was afraid it would wash my dirt out of the tomato bed, but it didn't. But talk about "frog strangler"! Ribbit! Ribbit.......ribbi...........:smile2:
