put a 170lber in boat today!

    been hunting a wma located on a local lake. finally worked out. found some fresh scrapes put some doe estrous out around 11:00 this guy came in. killed him at about 25 yards with my marlin 45-70 guide gun.

    thanks. he is the biggest 6pt i have ever seen. deer dont get giant in south carolina like other parts of the country. i like my straps bacon wrapped and cooked until bacon is done. delicious

    I was able to put a few in the freezer during bow season. Hopefully will be able to turn out some decent jerky

    nice deer buddy. any bow kill is a great accomplishment. im terrible with my bow. missed the same buck 3 times last year on a morning hunt then another buck that evening. lol

    Lol trust me ive missed tons. When I first started 16 years ago i had a buck come in, i shot 5 arrows and missed everytime! It was a young buck of course but the saddest part is everytime i shot it just got closer and closer. Buck fever lol

    halll when i first looked at your post i only seen the does. that buck is an absolute monster congrats. how many inches is he? here in sc 125 inches gets you in the record book. did he make your states book?

    Thanks not sure what he scores. I think 140 ish, the picture makes him look bigger lol ( usually never happens to me). It sucked getting him out of there, one if the biggest bodied deer ive killed
