Punkin's peach cobbler

    1 cup flour; 1 cup sugar; 1 stick butter; 1 egg; 1/2 tsp vanilla; 2 cups liquid (peach juice & milk); 1 lg can peaches in syrup

    preheat oven to 350*
    cut butter into squares place in bottom of glass casserole dish.
    drain peaches reserving liquid, pour peaches over butter squares.
    in mixing bowl add flour, sugar, egg, vanilla and liquid/milk. mix well.
    pour over peaches.
    put in preheated oven until golden brown and bubbly.

    hey leslie i make one similar to urs and its yummy but i do add in a bit of cinnamon in the peaches and especially i love usin fresh peaches when in season.... even put a dash of cinnamon in the batter also!!... mine didnt call for the egg but that does sound good and ill try that next time!!! Thanks for your recipe!!

    Thinkin on makin a batch of Snickerdoodles, too... Karolyn's mention of cinnamon got me thinkin on that:big_smile: hmm, maybe I'd best get some breakfast...

    i would love to try one with the cinnamon in there, sugar, but i have to be careful of what i put cinnamon in...hershell cant have it, makes him a lil swimmy headed and his heart races...so i dont use it in stuff i know he likes. i have found that the egg makes the breaddy part of it fluffier.
