Wanted to shair with you guys a rod I just finished it is the second of a "almost " matching set,,,

The rod is a blend of graphite and e-glass which is the best of both worlds strong and light,, the blank only weighs little under 9. oz, it has a line raiting of 15-30lb's which means there is lots of back bone with a light tip for feeling light bites and fighting big fish...The guides are hardloy "hi-grade aluminum oxide for braid" bouble brace boat guides, with a glow in the dark tip, has a high quality all aluminum perfection reel seat which has been flipped so you are not holding the treads when you are fishing, and a flocked "the dimond pattern" split grip..

I wanted to do something a little special becouse this is my 1000 post,,
    What you guys think...

John congrats on the 1,000 post and hope you keep em coming. Always worth looking at for certain. A bigger congrats on the rods, thats sweet.did you build them yourself? If so what kind of blanks are they? I've used split grip bass rods and liked then. Almost to nice to fish with, key word being Almost.

    Thanks guys,,
Yup, I build them, been doing it for a little while now and have a ton of fun doing it,,,

The rods are International salt water blanks made by Lamaglass,, Not out the roof exspencive but great solid rods.,
Been working hard to find the perfect cat rods and im really getting close , The rod was desighned to pull big fish off the oil rigs in the gulf, so its the same thing as pulling a big cat out of cover and in current...,,And the split grip is really comfortable to fish with, I like it...

I went to the Mud Hole wharehouse in Florida last summer and spent several of hr's in there compairing and feeling all the different types of rods blanks they sell " several thousand ",talking to the manufacturer,,and came out with a hanfull that I think fit the bill great, some heavyer and some on the lighter side depending on what you are fishing for,,

In a couple of weeks im going to post a "red" heavy rod that im applying finish to right now that a ton more power than this one, A Rainshadow 30-60 lb made by Batson, that one has some Marbling and Weaving in it, and turned out great...

They turned out real nice John. Love the split grips and the cats in between..

Just applied the first coat of finish on the upper section of one, waiting on some decals to come in to finish.

Keep up the Good work Bro!! NICE!
