Tie the end of your line to a scale,preferably a spring scale,and have someone pull on it in a straight line.See at what lbs the drag starts giving line.Adjust up or down til ya get it where ya want.It,s generally recommended to go with 1/4 to 1/3 of your lines strength.

This man knows what is going on. That is exactly how deep sea guys set their drags when there is hundreds of thousands of dollars on the line in their tourneys.
