Just put the new stainless prop on tonight and got wondering how often these things get stolen? This thing is really shiny and stands out so I became concerned. I work in Law Enforcement and don't remember ever taking a report of one being stolen but my county is not really a lake area so not too many boats parked in motel lots. If was to get one, which is the best for the money? Thanks, Chris

SS props do have a tendency to disappear. I would put the lock on or paint the prop black.

not only do ya want to lock your prop ya better lock your motor, last spring i had my 40 hp mariner stolen off the back of my boat, my control cables and steering cable was cut, and motor was gone, that was a real eye opener, after finally recovering my motor which was for sale at a local boat shop i now have a couple locks on the motor.
