The lake I fish in is covered in alge at least 4 foot tall on the bottom and i always snag my line. Any tips on how to stop my line from getting snaged?

WELCOME to the BOC Mike! I,d try Johns suggestion and fish it from the top down with a float.I also use a sliding rig with a float on the leader in weeds sometimes too.I rig it like a regular sliding rig except I,ll thread a 3/4 styrofoam float about 6 inches back from the hook on a 24 inch leader. You can buy a whole bag of these round styrofoam balls at any craft store, they,re pretty cheap.

Mike Welcome to the BOC. John has given you some good info. These floats work great, give them a try.

sounds like they need to put some grass carp in there to take care of that stuff.
