I wanted to spend some "quality time" with my little girl this afternoon, even if she is 26. I asked her... movies or fishing? She said fishing. We headed for the ramp as afternoon storms were rolling in. We spent our first hour of quality time under a pavilion watching the rain and lightning. That was OK. It cleared every other boat off the river. When clearing skies came and we hit the water we were the only boat it sight. That was kind of a treat. It was a consistent bite. We didn't make many drifts that we didn't catch at least one... or miss one, or lose one.. and had a couple of doubles. A variety of fish from nice little eaters, up to three fish we tagged in the 15 & 16-pound class. As always, tons of fun on light tackle. A 16-pound blue in the tailwaters on light tackle provides LOTS of quality time. Life is good and gettin' better every day!
