Kelsey Orndorff was killed in an automobile accident on Friday evening as she was driving to a Christian concert. The daughter of Rev. James and Lee Anne Orndorff. They pastor the United Methodist Church in Culpeper, Virginia. I knew Kelsey and her brother Josh well. They attended the Christian school where I taught high school subjects. She was a dear, sweet girl. Her dad was so proud of her, in that she was scheduled to preach the Sunday morning sermon, her first, yesterday. Kelsey was just starting her senior year. She was a straight-A student since the ninth grade and a member of the National Honor Society, the National Forensics League, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Interact Club. She was co-president of the Culpeper United Methodist Church Youth Group; served on nine different mission teams; was a founding member of the praise band, Satellite 29; volunteered at the Culpeper Free Clinic; and performed in school dramas and plays. The world's loss is heaven's gain. Please pray.
