I headed out to the Potomac River Sunday morning arriving on the water about 6:00 a.m. The wind was picking up pretty good and the water was very choppy. With the outgoing tide just ending I set up in 16 feet of water along a shipping channel that dropped off to 22 feet. I baited two lines with cut Shad for bait. I had several pull downs and managed two Blue Cats at 15 and 12 pounds and a very fat Channel Cat at 10 pounds. Several smaller cats were also boated including an eight inch Brown Bullhead that thought he was much bigger than he actually was. There were a lot of Gar in the area so I'm pretty sure some of the bites were from them. All in all an OK day. I hope everyone else had a chance to go out as well.

    Tight lines.
