Launched out of Leesylvania SP with water temp. at 48.3 degrees and spent the next two hours trying to round up bait. Cast net and gill net produced nothing. Finally caught a couple of White Perch on worms then headed off to find the cats. Started out with a quick three fish in the boat...all around 10 lbs. Things slowed down and only boated three more all smaller than 10 lbs. Wind picked up and blew me off anchor. Tried to reposition but the wind just wouldn't cooperate so I packed it in.

A beautiful day to be on the water with better days ahead.

    Earl,

Thanks for that tip...I was in the Occoquan also but below the Rt 1 bridge. About how deep was the water where you hooked the shad? I hope you got into the Perch like I did...the large females are ready to pop for sure.

    Tight lines.
