    Water temp: 80 degrees.
Weather: 75 and overcast, light sprinkles of rain.
Tide: Middle of outgoing...very fast current
Water clarity: 1 ft visibility due to the algae.

Launched out of Leesylvania SP at 6:30 a.m. armed with frozen cutters. Spent a fruitless hour throwing plugs for bass and then headed for the cats. Anchored in 22 FOW at the mouth of a creek and deployed three rods. First pull down resulted in a beat up 25 lber...half of the tail was worn off and covered with small leeches. In the next two hours I landed a 35 lber, a 10 lber, and a 38 lber that went 42 inches. All put up a very strong fight, making several runs and pulling drag and all showed signs of scarring, I assume from the recent spawning. It's nice to know the bite is back on after a two month hiatus.

Very nice. Looks like the citations are biting again based also on some other reports from the past weekend. Might have to sneak away one day.

That's about how I feel anytime I fish for bass, whether I catch one or not!

Seriously, thanks again for a great fishing report, Chuck!
