Water temp: 80 degrees. Weather: 75 and overcast, light sprinkles of rain. Tide: Middle of outgoing...very fast current Water clarity: 1 ft visibility due to the algae. Launched out of Leesylvania SP at 6:30 a.m. armed with frozen cutters. Spent a fruitless hour throwing plugs for bass and then headed for the cats. Anchored in 22 FOW at the mouth of a creek and deployed three rods. First pull down resulted in a beat up 25 lber...half of the tail was worn off and covered with small leeches. In the next two hours I landed a 35 lber, a 10 lber, and a 38 lber that went 42 inches. All put up a very strong fight, making several runs and pulling drag and all showed signs of scarring, I assume from the recent spawning. It's nice to know the bite is back on after a two month hiatus.
