Launched out of Leesylvania at 6:30 a.m. and got bait quickly. Headed downstream to my favorite hole. Anchored on a break in 35 feet and deployed three rods with cut shad. I picked up a 28 lber and an 21 lber within 30 minutes and waited another hour for the next bite. But the wait was worth it as it was my PB, a 52 lber. I re-tied and re-baited and cast back into the same spot. 15 minutes later I hooked into what is now my PB, at 56 lber. As I got him near the boat he got tangled in the rear anchor rope. I held the rod in one hand and used the other to raise the anchor. When she was just below the surface I dropped the rod and grabbed the net. I made a dive for her and luckily connected because as soon as she felt the net she came unglued and broke my 90 lb main line. If she would have gotten away, she would have weighed a lot more! :smile2:
She measured a solid 48 inches and was released to grow older. Here are a couple of pics:

You're tearing them up on the Potomac Chuck! It's killing me reading all these reports at my computer.

    Keep up the good work!

You got her dialed in on the potomac chuck. Might have to put down the muzzleloader and horn in on your river. If you see a sneaky looking old chubby guy in a beat up lund alaskan with an undersized mercury on it.,"It's not me".:smile2:
