Launched out of Leesylvania on a beatiful day at 11:00 a.m. The goal today was to get my wife a nice fish. We ran to the usual bait hole and after three soaks of the net found nothing....zilch. So we ran to the backup spot and after three soaks...one cutter! Where have all the shad gone?? Anyway, my wife was getting bored so we decided to fish with the one we had. Go set up on a deep hole with an incoming tide. First fish was two minutes later...a scrappy 15 pounder. A little later another rod went down and she fought a hard pulling fish...it finally came up...a 22 lber. A couple more light taps but no takers. She finally called it quits at 2:30 p.m. Water temp was 47 degrees...air temp was 63. No huge fish today but a great day to be on the water.
